This special necklace has been inspired by hawthorn leaves as they unfurl and open in the spring.

The Britannia silver was cut out by hand with a saw and then the veins were hand engraved into the surface. They were then shaped to have a gentle convex shape. Two different shades of green enamel were prepared and applied to the the silver and fired in a kiln.

Five leaf shapes that are joined together make up the front of the necklace. The rest is made from silver articulated links that fasten at the back of the neck with a hook fastening.  43cm (approx 17")  

The total length of the necklace 43cm (approx 17"). 

The length of each of the six petals is up to approx. 3.5cm long and 1.4-2.0cm wide.
