These irregular shaped silver cufflinks have a face with a subtle relief design of a branch with leaves and flowers. The face of the cufflinks are individually made and have been oxidised to make the silver appear black in the recesses and this highlights the design.
The tops of the cufflinks have been individually made by melting silver on charcoal and then rolling it flat bit by bit in a set of steel rollers. Once the right thickness and shape was achieved the design was applied to the surface. The design is made from drawings of blossom that have been etched in to brass plates, this is then rolled onto the silver with the rolling mill. The irregular shape of the cufflinks measures approximately 2 x 1.8cm.
The funtional back part is a solid silver swivel manufactured cufflink back.
Every pair is unique and may vary slightly from the photograph.
