South Hooe, River Tamar, near Bere Alston.

Spend the morning making in my beautiful, light-filled studio overlooking the River Tamar.

These relaxed bench sessions are designed for those who already have some experience in silver jewellery making and would like access to a well-equipped professional studio. This is not a taught workshop, but a supported making session – you’ll work independently on your own projects, with guidance and advice from me when you need it.

It’s a chance to develop ideas, practise skills, and enjoy focused creative time in a friendly, supportive setting.

• Sand casting equipment (please give advance notice)

• Hand forming tools

• Dapping blocks and punches

• Swage blocks

• Ring and bangle mandrels

• Hammers and much more

Who Is It For?

These sessions are suitable for those who have already attended a one-day workshop or course with me – or elsewhere – and have some basic experience of working with silver. However, I’ll be on hand throughout to offer support and advice when needed.

This is not suitable for complete beginners, as you’ll need a little confidence using tools and soldering equipment. 

Come and make, experiment, and enjoy time at the bench in a calm and encouraging studio environment.

Limited supplies of silver available for purchase on the day. If you have a particular thing in mind please get in touch so we can be sure to have the right materials ordered for your project.

What’s Included

• Full use of studio equipment – no need to bring anything, though you’re welcome to bring your own tools if you wish

• A reasonable amount of silver solder and shared consumables

• Up to three saw blades per session included

• My help on hand throughout the session, offering friendly, experienced advice and support when needed

If an unusually large amount of silver solder is used, or it’s one of those days and more than three saw blades are broken, a small additional charge may apply.
