Make a Flower Brooch from Recycled Materials as Part of The Digital Craft Festival Saturday 28th November 2020
Have fun making a brooch from recycled materials as part of The Digital Craft Festival.
Saturday 28th November 2020
Join Cathy Newell Price and make a brooch from recycled materials inspired by some of her favourite flowers. All the materials can be found in your recycle bin and all the tools are things you should have around the house.
This is a live online zoom session. The workshop will feature live and pre-recorded demonstrations and you will be following along and making during the session. It will be a fun and sociable morning. We will be working all together and in smaller groups so you will have a chance to chat to others as you work if you want to.
This workshop is not suitable for children as sharp tools and heat are used.
You will need a good internet connection and a laptop or tablet. You will be sent a link to join the workshop the day before the session. If you are borrowing a device you must let us know in advance the name of the device owner so that we recognise the name and let you in to the session.
Following booking you will be sent a reminder list of all the things that you will need on the day. these will include:
A plastic milk bottle
A tomato puree tube
Non-stick baking paper
A large safety pin
It would be good if the food containers were empty!
No specialist tools are needed, but you will need:
Something to iron on, eg. ironing board or folded towel
A sharp pair of scissors
A biro of other pointed implement
A little bit of glue for the finishing touches, fast drying is useful
A marker pen is useful, but not essential
I look forward to seeing you on 28th November!
Spaces are limited so you will have plenty of individual attention.
