Berries Necklace

This silver pendant has a picture of a plant with berries and leaves; it is based on the plant blackthorn (sloe). The design of the plant has been chased into the silver and then green and plum coloured enamel has been applied and fired on to the silver in the kiln.

Garnet and peridot gems hang down from the bottom of the pendant and there are two further garnet gems attaching the pendant to the chain.  Both the pendant and chain have been oxidised giving the piece a darkened appearance.

The silver of the pendant part measures approx 3.3cm long by 3.0cm wide and the gem drops hang down by 3.00cm. The length of the chain is 50cm (approx. 20"), and it fastens with a hand made hook.
