Hand-made necklace with pale blue enamel petal drops
This special necklace has been inspired by pressed individual flowers of cornflowers that were grown in my garden. The silver petals have an imprint of real dried petals from a hydrangea flower to create the veins. The silver has been cut out by hand with a saw and then it has been enamelled the palest blue. The vein pattern can be seen through the transparent enamel. Six petals hang from the hand-made chain. The silver has been oxidised to give it a dark appearance.
The total length of the necklace chain is 44cm. The length of each of the six petals is up to approx. 3.5cm long and 1.4-2.0cm wide.
